Directions for cooking

Start by dumping the quinoa in the saucepan and put heat on. Toast your grains for some minutes while frequently tossing the quinoa so that it does not burn. While doing this, start sautéing the oil, garlic and onion in a large skillet. Ensure that the heat is medium. Add salt to taste to the onion mixture and cook it for about five minutes while stirring regularly. Stirring regularly prevents the garlic from burning.

When grains of quinoa starts to toast, add water and turn on high heat. Once the quinoa boils, cover it and turn to low heat and cook for about ten minutes. Add the beans to the garlic and onion and cook for around 5 minutes. Add the washed kale pieces as well as a few splashes of the Shoyu. Remember to add a pinch of pepper. Turn heat to medium and cover and let steam for seven minutes. Now place a scoop of quinoa in bowls and top with beans and kale. Serve while hot.
